Rajasthan Royals (RR) will launch its Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 29 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. The winners of the opening season are hoping to win their second IPL title in the fifteenth year of the competition.
Meanwhile, one of RR’s pranks on social media hasn’t gone well with their captain Sanju Samson, as Kerela cricketer expressed his disappointment. It allhappened after the Royals official twitter handlepublished a photo of Samson resting on the team bus. However, RR took their creative abilities to the next level and photoshopped Samson as a woman with the title “Kya khoob lagte ho.”
Samson responded to the tweet and never said his words, and honestly suggested that the social media team should be more responsible. He quoted the tweet and wrote “It’s okay for friends to do all this, but teams should be professional.”
Here’s how Sanju reacted:

After this incident, the Royals management quickly noticed and decided to fire the entire social media team, adding that a new team with a new digital strategy would be appointed soon.
“In light of today’s events, we will be making changes to our approach and team on social media. Everything is well within the squad ahead of the first game as the boys prepare for SRH. The management will revisit our overall digital strategy and appoint a new team in due course,” said RR in an official statement.
“We realise that it is the IPL season and fans want the account to post updates regularly. We will find temporary solutions in the interim,” the statement added.
