Glenn McGrath has tested positive for COVID-19, three days before the fourth Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He will miss the start of the upcoming Test, which has turned into a fundraising drive to support those suffering from breast cancer.

He is isolating at home and feels well. Those associating with the match are hoping that the legendary cricketer will return a negative test in time to attend day 3 of the SCG Test, now known as Jane McGrath Day.

He will mark a virtual presence when both sides are presented with Pink Caps.

“Glenn has had a PCR test which came out positive,” McGrath Foundation chief executive Holly Masters said.

“We wish Glenn and his family good health.
