Former India and Mumbai Indians player Harbhajan Singh has slammed Mumbai Indians batters for their defensive approach against the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2022.
The five-time champions have failed to score heavily against the Shreyas Iyer-led team in the ongoing match. Mumbai have accumulated just 71 runs in 13 overs after losing three key wickets.
“Batters haven’t shown any intent to score runs against KKR. I know the bowling has been good, but that doesn’t mean you don’t play your shots. The batsmen have been defensive in their approach, which is not the way to move forward in a game,” he said.
MI have lost their two matches in the 15th season, while KKR, with two wins and one defeat, have improved their performance considerably.
